What you can expect from us:

Logo Design

Creating a visual representation that encapsulates what you are all about.

STEP ONE:
First we send you a logo design brief. This is a questionnaire that you fill out, answering questions relating to your business or idea as well as your logo design.

STEP TWO:
After we have received your design brief and/or met with you in person, we will provide you with 3 initial logo concepts.

STEP THREE:
You will provide feedback and communicate back and forth with the designer until you are happy with a final logo design and sign off on the artwork.

STEP FOUR:
You will receive your logo in all the formats required for your use, plus a “style guide” which outlines detail of the logo including colours and fonts.

Brand Clearance

Having a sophisticated logo is pointless if you are not able to use it commercially. That’s why we undertake research on your preferred brand in the planning stages and provide advice on your proposed name.

Did you know?
Simply registering your business or domain name is not enough to prevent others from using it, and may not mean you're free to use it yourself...

If you don’t conduct the appropriate searches properly before settling on a new name for your new company, product and/or service, you may find yourself very disappointed - and out of pocket! Even worse, you may need to re-brand. You might even find yourself defending litigation by a trade mark owner with prior rights. Both these scenarios could cost a lot of money (not to mention time), and ultimately damage your hard-earned reputation.

Trade Marks

Trade marks are relevant to every business, regardless of industry or location!

WHAT IS A TRADE MARK?
Technically, a trade mark is a sign that distinguishes the goods and services offered by one business from the offerings of other businesses. Most people have an intuitive feel for trade marks; brands play a large part in everyday purchasing transactions. When a consumer makes a purchasing decision several factors are usually weighed up, including the trade mark or ‘brand’.
For example, two vehicles for sale may have virtually identical technical specifications and yet many consumers are prepared to pay more for one of the vehicles because its brand is deemed to be more prestigious.

Trade mark registration grants the owner the following:

exclusive rights to use the trade mark throughout all states and territories of Australia;

the right to take legal action against infringers or competitors who use identical or similar marks in the same industry; and

ownership of a valuable intellectual property right which may be bought, sold or licensed to other parties.

Once we have determined which trade mark classes may be most relevant to your goods and/or services, we’ll require prepayment for the anticipated filing fees.

Most importantly, our clients will receive the benefit of bona fide legal assistance from qualified trade marks attorneys.

DIY?

While you could file a trade mark application yourself, what you actually need is a correctly prepared and filed application. After all, what’s the point of having a registered trade mark if it doesn’t cover the exact purpose it was intended for?!

FAQs

Q. How soon can you begin my project?
A. As soon as you give us the go ahead! We can start as soon as we have received your design brief, or discussed your needs during a free consultation and a deposit has been paid.

Q. May I send you my own sketches?
A. Of course! Feel free to send us any sketches or mockups and we will work with you to bring your vision to life.

Q. Why do I need to pay a deposit?
A. As you may appreciate, good design takes time. Business name, trade mark and domain name searches are also very specific services that require a certain skill set and allocation of time.

Q. Who owns the logo once it is completed?
A. Once we have sent you the final logo and style guide, you own any rights associated or registered.

Q. What type of trade mark searches do you make?
A. Our packages cover exact match (word or image) trade mark searches only. If you would like a more detailed search, this will take time and therefore incur an additional cost.

Q. What rights does trade mark registration provide?
A. A registered trade mark can be exclusively used by its owner, or licensed to another party for use in return for payment.
